Sam Johnson '23 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Sam Johnson. I am a Senior at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa. I have been playing golf since the age of 3 with a passion and love for the game.  Golf has taught me how important it is to work hard and how crucial it is to stay focused and committed to working on your game daily.  Golf has also taught me many lessons that apply to daily life, including treating others with respect, always telling the truth and being professional.  In the most recent years I have learned how to compete and how to finish the job when the pressure is on. My High School scoring average has consistently improved from 88 my freshman year to 72.91 my senior year. These improvements have been made with the help of many coaches and many hours in the gym and on the course. These improvements have translated into wins, including our high school conference tournament and our state district tournament. I am eager to play at the next level and bring hard work and determination to your program.
