I started playing golf when I was eleven years old. I went to a relatively small school and was able to compete on the varsity team as a sixth grader. After going to the district tournament as a sixth grader and qualifying for regionals, I knew that tournament golf was something I wanted to pursue. I transferred to a 5A school my freshman year, where I then qualified for the varsity team and made my way up to the top five.
After finding my love for competitive golf I realized that I needed to practice more and play in more tournaments. I started playing in a local tournament circuit and as years went on I watched my scores get lower and lower.
I have always worked very well with people and have had multiple golf coaches that have helped me get to where I am today. I also did a mentorship program with the Kelly Gibson Foundation to caddy for youth golfers to help them find their love and passion for the game.
I am a great student and I constantly work hard to maintain good grades. I want to attend a college where I can further my education and utilize the skills I have learned to play competitive golf. My main goal is to find a college that suits me well and somewhere I can achieve my goals in academics along with golf.
