I am a student-athlete who dedicates equal effort to academics and athletics. I maintain a 4.25 GPA while participating in athletics specifically wrestling and golf. During this past summer, I worked at Lodestone Golf Course 5 days a week. I also helped on weekends in my family's business which is vacation property management.
I am currently a Junior at Northern High School in Accident, Maryland. Since the beginning of my sophomore year, I have participated in classes following the Biomedical Pathway. I have maintained a 4.25 GPA while taking honors and advanced placement classes. Last year, I received college credit for my AP US history class. I plan to further my education by attending a 4 year college.
I have participated in robotics for the past 3 years and helped design the robot this past year when our team attended the World Robotics Competition in Chicago.
In both my freshman and sophomore years, I have been on the Varsity Wrestling Team. In addition to competing myself, I also have helped with the Youth Wrestling Program for the past 2 years.
Other than academics, my main focus is now on golf. I started my golf journey during my freshman year (2018). I am working hard
to improve my game. I went from shooting in the high 120s to consistently shooting in the high 70s and low 80s in 2 years. I have dedicated my last two summers to improve my game because I am in love with the sport. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity for much formal instruction. I have read several books on improving myself mentally for the game, and this has been helpful. I am eager to receive more instruction, and I feel that my golf game will improve drastically with more training and guidance. I am willing to put even more work and effort into this sport than I already have. I would like to lower my score by 5-10 strokes by the beginning of my senior year.
During this past summer, I worked at the Lodestone Golf Club in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. My responsibilities include greeting and interacting with the members and guests, opening and closing the course, cleaning carts, and working in the pro shop. Both my love for the sport and my desire to advance in golf has only increased with this experience.
