Dear Coaches
Hello, my name is Donovan Brookins. I started golfing when I was 5 years old. Throughout my life, my passion and love for the game has only grown more and more. Even though golf is usually an Spring-Fall sport, I have the opportunity to practice and play golf year round. I regularly attend Spring and Summer tournaments with organizations like the MAPGA and Hurricane Junior Golf tour (HJGT). I also, during that time, play practice rounds at places like Diamond Ridge and Pine Ridge. During the Fall, I play golf for my school Western School of Technology and Environmental Science. I am the top Golfer at Western Tech, winning the Golf MVP award this year. During the Winter, I am honing my skills with my private coach, Edward Crawley.
Even with my busy golf schedule going on I still make sure my academics are a top priority. I personally find school to be an easy task when you understand the learning material. One of my favorite classes is my magnet class which is my environment technology class. I have always found saving the earth an interesting topic. I love the idea of creating machinery that will help save the earth in the future. That is one of my goals in life, to create a machine that will one day save the earth from harmful pollutants. I want to major in environmental engineering to understand more about environmental machines
Overall I am a hardworking young man who will persevere through challenging times. I am looking to play golf in college so I can stay connected to the game that I have loved since I was 5. With my patience, perseverance, and persistence, I will one day save the earth.
Thanks for Reading, Donovan Brookins
