My interest in Golf initiated when I was barely 4 years old while watching my dad play. Being born in Puerto Rico with great golf courses and being able to play all year through due to the nice weather was part of my inspiration as well. My passion for golf is not only about the love for the game but the fact that is a sport that allows me to share with my dad, family and friends and spent quality time with my loved ones which I truly value. If something this sport has taught me throughout the years is that there is always room for improvement and it keeps you constantly wanting to challenge yourself. Some of the skills I’ve really developed through this sport is self-discipline, perseverance, consistency, dedication, commitment, communication, patience and self-control. What I love about this sport is that despite you are competing you can always enjoy your time. I see Golf as a lifetime sport with no shelf life.
As part of my wish and desire to continue developed in this sport my family relocated to US 3 years ago. I am really blessed with a family that has always supported my goals and this means a lot for me. This is my driver for wanting to be better each day not only as an athlete but also academically in appreciation for their effort, understanding and support. It has been a roller coaster full of challenges, changes, emotions but it has been worth it. Being able to participate in some tournaments and joining the Oakdale High School team has been an opportunity fill of enrichment and great experiences. Throughout the years the team has work very hard and more than highlighting on what place our team ended is the fact on how much we grow as athletes and individuals and how great we play and stand up as a team supporting each other to be better every time. I am looking forward to my Senior Year which I have no doubt it will be a remarkable journey focusing not only in my athletic goals but my academic ones. Based on my foundations and skill-sets not only as an athlete but as an individual I know I can be a great asset for a college team. I will really embrace and value the opportunity given to assure success not only as an athlete but as a future career professional.
