Currently I am a 15 year old Junior and student athlete attending St. Vincent Pallotti High School (SVPHS) in Laurel, Maryland. As a student athlete at Pallotti, I have been the captain of our golf team since my freshman year. I have been the MVP for the first two years and I made MIAA All Conference both years as well. I was especially proud of being able to guide and assist my team in making it to the finals last year, which my school has not achieve in a number of years. Although we fell short of a championship last year, our participation was certainly encouragement and incentive for the golf team to seek that goal again in 2019, and I am very proud of our accomplishments last year.
As a young child my father introduced me to golf and I furthered supported my interest in golf with my participation in the First Tee program.
In middle school, I was really able to exhibit my talents. I played on the baseball and basketball teams. Our baseball team at (MLK MS in Beltsville, Maryland) won the Prince George’s County Championship when I was in the six grade and we came in 2nd place in my 7th and 8th grade years. I played center field and right field while was on the team.
I am a musician and I play drums, saxophone, and piano. I started playing piano when I was four years old. In middle school I played drums for the concert band, the choir, and the jazz band. I also played sax for the concert band.
My outside interest included tennis, ping pong, racquetball and Kung Fu. I have a 2nd degree Black belt in Kung Fu which I achieve at 12 years old and achieve my 2nd degree Black was at 14 years old. As a part of the program we were required to assist in teaching the class for two years before your trained for the Black Belt. I have competed at the National Harbor for the, “Capitol Classics” and won first place in the China Open and 3rd place competing with the straight sword.
My GPA for the first year in high school was 3.99 and the second year it was 4.07. I have made it my goal to give 150% in my studies and my level of participation in sports. Currently my participation in golf has become my greatest passion. Golf has spurred my college focus and goal of studying sport medicine and becoming an athletic trainer or physical therapist. I believe I can combine my sports skills in conjunction with my medical career goals to become a success in life and help people in sports and in need.
