Austin Slack '21 Recruiting Profile

Golf has always been one of my favorite things to play, learn, and improve. I've played hundreds of rounds throughout my life and only seem to love the sport more every time I pull off the ninth hole. I've been named captain of Tahanto's Varsity team for the past two years, as a Junior and Senior. The reasoning behind my coaches decision of putting me as captain, was best summarized by my coach himself. He used to tell me a lot, "Hey Austin, you're the man!"  But beyond "being the man", I felt as if I always brought a positive, outgoing, electric energy to the course every time we would play, whether it was rain or shine. Through my years of golf in middle school and high school, I've won two Booster/MVP awards. One in middle school and the other as a Sophomore.
