Over the course of my childhood I was heavily involved in sports. Every weekend was happily spent on a basketball court or a baseball field having fun, making friends, and improving my skills. I played at very competitive levels but win or lose, there was always another game to play. I developed into the type of kid who left things on the field or court and just enjoyed the competition and overall experience.
I was focused solely on these two sports until the age of fourteen when I started playing golf. The mindset that I developed while playing other sports would help me stay relaxed and focused on the golf course. It’s me against myself when I’m on the links and there is always another hole to play and another opportunity to achieve success or learn from my mistakes. This is an attitude that I will carry with me and will serve me well throughout my life.
