I started playing golf when I was about five and have been improving ever since. I became interested in golf when my father taught it to me at a young age. Once my dad taught me golf, I fell in love with the game. When I was about eight years old, I had an injury, which put me out of golf for a season. This event showed me that if I don’t keep working hard, I will not advance to the next level.
When playing golf, I have learned to achieve anything if I focus on that specific task in academics or athletics. I started 2019 with a 15 handicap that averaged about 85 strokes on 18 holes, but in 2022 I am a 0.3 handicap with an average score of 74.7. I look to keep improving throughout my years in high school and hopefully into college. Throughout my high school and college career, my goal is to maintain a GPA above 3.5 and continue to elevate my golf game in various ways. Also, some key characteristics that I possess are optimism and confidence, which will help me throughout my career as both a student and an athlete. Finally, I plan to continue to play golf throughout high school/college.
