Tommy Steffen '21 Recruiting Profile

PERSONAL STATEMENT 

Hello, I am Tommy Steffen and I am a Junior at Legacy Christian Academy in Andover, MN. I love the game of golf and I couldn't imagine my life without it. There is never a chance where I don't want to be on the golf course. I have had three different high school golf coaches since I've been golfing at Legacy and I learned that I am a very coachable person through all that. I have played varsity since 8th grade and I have had many accomplishments in my last few years. I have been all-conference for the past 3 years, I was ranked number 2 in my section this year, and at the end of the 2019 I made it to state at Pebble Creek. I have been practicing in my offseason and I can already see the improvements in my game. I am a hard working man on the golf course and in school. I like the idea of college golf because because I love being on a team. I am a leader in many different ways. I am involved with Chick-FIl-A Leadership Academy and I am a student ambassador at my high school. I also volunteer at Eagle Brook Church once a month on Sunday mornings. I was the sophomore captain on my team last year and I love to boost the energy of my teammates on the golf course. One of my strongest life strengths is competition, I love competing in the Players Tour and in JPGA events throughout the summer. I know that my knowledge of the game and work ethic both on and off the course would make me a great candidate for your team. Thank You!
