My name is Andrew Conrad and I have recently completed my summer tournament season prior to my senior year of high school. Over these past 6-8 months, I gave an immense amount of my time to levitating my game to a higher degree. This past spring, I played extremely well but was disappointed in my performance at the State Tournament for MSHSAA Men's Golf in Joplin, Missouri. However, I was determined to improve from this experience and to work even harder on the parts of my game that held me back from the goals I was looking to achieve. This form of dedication is exactly what defines my golf game and approach to life; never settle for less than who you were made to be.
My entire 2021 season has been another great learning experience for me as a golfer. With the tournaments I have played, I was able to add to my experience as a junior golfer, and this has given me great insight into what will come in the future. My golf game is based on a lot of mental toughness, but I am striving to learn even more about myself and how I can improve my self-confidence during a round. I am not only looking for a school that I will be able to grow at, but I am looking for a school that sees potential and growth in me as a player, student, and overall young man.
I am a good candidate for any program because of my work ethic and willingness to be coached. Currently, I pride myself on my physical practice schedule within the game of golf. Also, I am a friendly young man who enjoys meeting others through the game. I’m a team player, honest, and a devoted student who is driven to accomplishing his goals on and off the course. As for academics, I am in the Honors Math program(AP Calculus AB), advanced history program(AP US Government), and excel in many other subjects. My classwork is very important to me and it will always come before my golf schedule. Additionally, I was ranked 18th out of nearly 230 students in my junior class last year with an unweighted GPA of 3.98.
To conclude, thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I welcome any opportunity to discuss my goals and abilities with you. I am dedicated to successfully reaching these goals I have listed, and I can't wait to find a program that allows me to reach for as many as I can; athletically as well as academically.
