Charles Zielinski '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Charlie Zielinski and I am a senior (2020 Graduation) attending high school at VJ and Angela Skutt Catholic in Omaha, Nebraska.  My GPA is 3.83 and my ACT score is 29.  I am hoping to study business in college.

As a sophomore, I was a Class B District champion and placed third at State.

As a junior,  I finished as the medalist in four high high school tournaments. In addition, I was a conference champion, district runner-up, and a state runner-up .

I started my junior year by playing in the Nebraska Golf Association Fall Junior Series (four tournaments) where I was named to the NGA Fall Junior Series All-Star team after finishing fourth overall including a win and a third place finish.  Over the winter, I traveled to Arizona and Florida to compete in Hurricane Tour events while the state of Nebraska was covered with a blanket of snow.  I finished as the medalist at the Arizona Junior Winter Open and finished runner-up at the 54-Hole Open at Innisbrook. 

This summer I played in local tournaments, as well as, AJGA qualifiers and tournaments (qualifying twice) and had a top twenty-five finish in Wisconsin.  Finally, I was selected to the Nebraska Junior Cup team and had a great time representing Nebraska and playing for 'The Cup' against the top juniors from the state of Kansas.  

I have enjoyed competing at the high school level and look forward to continuing that challenge while I pursue my degree. I feel like I am a great candidate for college recruiters, and I look forward to discussing my future choices with you. Thanks.
