My dream is to pursue an education in ag while being able to continue competitively playing the sport of Golf. I have had a love for golf since a very young age when I would go up to the golf course with plastic clubs and try to hit real golf balls with my father. Since the days of using plastic clubs, I have since then worked tirelessly on perfecting my craft with a lot of practice and rounds played. I owe my love for sports to my family because all we did growing up was compete with each other.
I have been competing in golf tournaments since the summer leading into my freshman year of high school. While competing in High School golf, I have been fortunate enough to be varsity in each of my first three years, lettering each year as well. The peak of my golf career so far came in the Southern Nebraska Conference tournament during my sophomore year. In the conference tournament, I shot a career-low eighty-one and placed third overall helping my team to a runner-up finish, out of eleven schools and fifty-five competitors.
I feel like I would be a good fit in your program because of my work ethic and my grades. Throughout high school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while being involved in multiple extracurricular activities. I believe that my work ethic also makes me a good fit for your program since I'm consistently one of the last players to leave practice while others take the easy way out.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
