Hello, my name is Jacob Lucero. I am currently going to be a Junior at Hope Christian High school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have played golf from as far back as I can remember. Golf is a huge part of my life and I give my all to the game. I have dreamed about playing golf at a collegiate level ever since I was small.
On the course, I carry myself how any athlete should, I try to be fun and out going even during the round. I try to set an example for younger kids who look up to us older kids. When I am not on the course playing I always try and find other people or even my friends to help work on their game. I love to coach and give advice to others because I feel like I owe that to the game since it has given me so much.
In the classroom, I give the same amount of effort as I do for golf. I maintain a high GPA and try to get involved in as many school events as possible.
My main goal in looking for a college is I want to be happy where I go, not only for golf but academically also. I am open to any type of college as long as I will be happy and will be able to make the most out of my college experience.
