Ben Donohue- Golf...Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Ben Donohue. I'm a junior at CW Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York. I started golf fairly late, at age 13. Since I started playing, I haven't been able to give up the sport. It's become an obsession. It's been a goal of mine to play college golf ever since I started playing, and I'm also eager to continue exploring my interest in psychology. I'm a good student with a 94 GPA, and I enjoy playing music -- I play 6 instruments. I also volunteer around my community.
My accomplishments include 4 years on my varsity golf team, and in 2016, I played in the NY State tournament in which I shot 82, 82, and finished 55th. I hope one day to be playing college golf, and to be helping what ever team that I happen to play for. My tournament scoring average has dropped from 85 to 79 from 2016 to 2017, and I hope to lower that even more in the coming year. At the moment I am ranked 2627 on JGS.
