I feel like I am just getting started with golf. I was a lifelong baseball player from the age of 3-14. My coaches always said I was very coachable and that I worked hard. I started having trouble tracking the ball when pitches were around 90 mph. I have a mild vision disability in my left eye called Duane's Syndrome that makes it hard to follow fast moving objects in my left eye's peripheral vision. I enjoyed playing golf recreationally and the Duane's does not affect my golf game, so in the fall of 2020 I began to take golf more seriously. This summer I had 1 on 1 lessons, and attended golf camps at Club Med Academy, University of Georgia, and UNC Chapel Hill. I was kind of surprised and pleased to have won my age division at UGA's tournament. Since the beginning of summer my score has improved from the 110's to the mid 70's, I try to play every day on one of the local public courses or a driving range to improve my consistency and accuracy. I may not be the most experienced golfer in the class of 2022 but I wholeheartedly believe I could outwork everyone of them not just on the course but in the classroom and in the workplace as well. I look forward to meeting about playing golf for you in college.
