My sophomore year of high school, I shot 78 in our regional tournament, but I ended up losing after hitting my drive out of bounds. This year I have improved on my weaknesses and gotten much stronger, and I am excited to have a great regular season and get make it to the state championship. I started playing golf when I was eight years old; hitting the middle of the clubface was never hard for me. When I was young, I was so much better than everyone else just because of my talent. I never worked at it; I just leaned on my ability to hit the ball. At age 13, everyone caught up, and I was no longer able to just never practice and beat everyone. I never really started to work to improve until a year and a half ago. Really putting in the work into golf has made me realize that if you want to succeed at something you have to go get it and nobody else can do it for you. My goal is to play college Golf because competing and traveling the world while learning is pretty much the perfect life.
Last semester I took a business and finance class, and it was something that I just got along with and was interested in. That class is one of the reasons I aspire to be a business major. I have always enjoyed learning about money because who doesn't like money. One thing I would love to learn more of is how to understand why business do what they do and to predict the outcome of their decisions.
