Kyle Salamon '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m Kyle Salamon and I live in Medina, Ohio, a city 45 minutes south of Cleveland. I attend school at Medina High School, a D1 school. I made varsity in my freshman year and I am going on my 4th year of playing golf for their team. Throughout those years I have improved my game tremendously. Last year I saw my greatest improvement yet in high school as I won our sectional tournament and was a potential candidate for our GCC player of the year. My coaches and peers have always talked about the vast potential I have to excel in golf and how dedicated I am in achieving my goals.  

I believe one of the key strengths of my game is ball striking. I hit my irons, wedges, and driver solidly and far and I have a pretty good ability to shape the ball when necessary. When my accuracy is on, that part of my game shines.  I also know that one of the reasons I haven’t been able to play at my best is because of my inconsistent short game. I continue to put a substantial amount of time and effort in on bettering that part of my game and I have seen a significant amount of improvement in the last couple years. In addition to skills training, I have a strong focus on strength building and running.  

It is also important that I challenge myself academically. I take difficult classes and maintain a GPA that is close to a 3.0. I work hard in school and I believe I focus on my academics very well. My expectation is that my future college will further my educational career as well as my golf career.

I love the game of golf and I really feel it has shaped me into the person I am today.  I know I would be a very different person without it. I would love the opportunity to play golf in college and see how far I can take my career. Thank you for viewing my profile and I am excited to see what the future holds for us.
