Chase McDonald '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Chase McDonald and I grew up in Wentworth, SD just north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have grown up in a golf orientated family and have played golf my entire life but just 2 years ago decided to start taking it serious. I love the competitiveness of the sport and the connections you can make playing it. Throughout playing golf I have learned many life lessons. The biggest one not giving up. I learned it last year at the State high school tournament. Our team was winning by one shot and I had missed the green and the other kid had a short birdie putt. I ended up chipping in to win the team state title. My academic goals for high school and college are high. I love to succeed which pushes me to be the best student I can bein the classroom. I am a team leader and have a very likeable personality. These qualities have helped lead me to be the team captain for the golf team (5 years) football team (2 Years) and class representative ( 3 years).  All in all I am looking for a college that is competitive and wants to win, as well as a team that is like a family and wants each other to succeed.
