Maxwell Mathews '24 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am passionate about life, especially the time and opportunities I have playing golf. I first learned about the game because my older brother plays as a hobby, but then I wanted my own clubs and to try it out. I started at 3 years old with the plastic set. Then I came in contact with a real US kids set at a garage sell and it's been a different world ever since. I confronted my parents about playing at my school while in kindergarten but the school didn't have a program until I was in second grade. My first coach was from my elementary school, Coach Wesley Francis, taught me everything I know about golf. He went on to encourage to compete on an international level and so I have. I would like to have a professional future in golf but for sure in the athletics industry. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had and look forward to what else life has in store for me.
