Wyatt King '23 Recruiting Profile

When I started golfing in a football family at the age of 6, I knew a spot on the Dallas Cowboys was not in the picture. Even at a young age, I loved golf, but not until the last few years have I realized that golf has became a part of my story. The most important goal, outside of getting a great education at college, is to play college golf. Some of my aspirations are to travel abroad while in college and play golf on a championship level. I would like to major in computer science or engineering. However, I have really enjoyed working at the golf course the last two years and am very open to golf management. I have been raised on the theory that a man’s  character is the most important part of who he is. I have a strong work ethic and am confident in my faith of what God holds for my future. I am a great candidate for any team that wants a young man that not only can discuss my tournaments that I have shot a 69 or 73 but a man that has experienced growth from my bad days on the course. I can brag and say I am in a fast paced high achieving collegiate academy and got an A in college physics and math, but I have to be transparent about the failures and hardships in classes that created my tenacity. Giving to others is important and I have done volunteer work with groups such as Toyota4good, Wyatt’s Big Give Shoe Drive, TNT Youth Organization  and others annually every year. The golf course is my home, it is where I feel most at peace, it is where I I belong. You want a leader that does not break, but grows. Making a decision for college is choosing a family to help mold you and teach you the components necessary to access the best version of yourself. I can guarantee three things if I’m on your roster; hard work, a team player and a great listener.
