Jackson Drake '20 Recruiting Profile

Though I have played golf since the 5th grade, it really became my passion 4 years ago after attending my first PGA pro tournament.  After seeing the challenge and the excitement of this sport played at that level, something inside just changed for me and I began to work very hard to improve every aspect of my game.  I am now deeply committed and work daily to achieve my goal to play college level golf and beyond.  I love the challenge of this game and how every day is different.  I play all over the state of Texas and beyond, through AJGA, All American and Legends tours, meeting great golfers and playing different types of courses to improve my game.  I hope to one day use my skills as part of a college team and win a NCAA Championship. 

I am fortunate to attend a top notch private school that not only challenges me academically to ready me for college, but also adjusts my class schedule to leave each midday to head to the course to work out and practice my game.  All classes at my school are either PreAp or AP and my teachers work to prepare me to attend the most competitive school academically.  I have played on my school golf team since the 6th grade and we have won back to back High School State Championship titles in TAPPS 2A '17 & '18.  

I have grown up in a Christian home and my entire family is very active in our church.  My Dad is a Deacon and my Mom a Worship Leader.  I serve during the year as part of our Youth Group, to minister to families who come to our church campus to take part in community activities such as our annual Fall Festival & Easter egg Hunt.  My Christian values guide me in my life during good times and challenging times.
