For the past few years I have been working hard to improve on as many of my skills as possible. I worked very hard in order to achieve my goals before the season began. I was getting reps and working out everyday of the summer, even if I was the only person there. However, at the beginning of my junior season, I fractured my L5 in my spine. This injury cause me to miss over half my season, which made me feel as though all my work would be gone. Although, I realized that this injury pushed me to work harder in order to earn my starting spot back on the court and work harder to help my team achieve their goals as well. Together, everyone worked hard throughout the season; this paid off extremely well as we won TAPPS 2A State without loosing a single set all of playoffs. Realizing that my injury did not set me back but rather it inspired me to work harder than ever helped me to become the player I am right now.
