Jake Houska '26 Recruiting Profile

Playing collegiate golf has been a goal of mine ever since I was little. My parents and I have pushed me to my full potential my whole life and there is no turning back now. When I was 7 there was a memorial  tournament in my town that my family went to every year . The short time that the tournament was held was when I first got hooked on the game. The good people that played the game, the sounds of golf balls flowing off golf clubs, and the smell of damp grass in the morning were all of the things that helped me get into this exciting  game. By the year 2026 I plan to sustain a 3.5 gpa or higher and place at least top 5 in my class.I have learned many things about myself through this game like how competitive I am and how much grind I can put into a game. With all of these qualities and how companionate I am of this sport that is why  I feel like I should play at the collegiate level.
