I am a very raw player. I have played mainly based off of my natural abilities, yet I still was able to figure things out this year. My dad helped me a lot with my swing, and I really focused on tempo and my take away this year. I was able to transform from a low to mid 80's golfer to a mid to high 70's golfer this year, with my low being a 71. I was my team's 1 spot for nearly the entire year, and I was able to finish 2nd individually for our entire region. My game became much more consistent once I was able to dial in my tempo and maintain a relatively stable spine and head position. I am a one plane swinger, which helps with the simplicity of my swing. However, I still have many flaws. My swing plane is not very consistent and my tempo changes frequently. I believe if I can dial my swing in and make it more compact, I will be a much more solid and consistent golfer. I am very open for new ideas, and I'm happily willing to completely break down my swing if needed. I have matured over the years, and I believe that with my head in check, I have a lot of potential. When I'm dedicated, I can practice for hours on the littlest things. I haven't always been dedicated to the game of golf because I am a three sport athlete, and I frequently took breaks to focus on other sports. But in college, I will be able to solely focus on this sport along with academics. With a full year of training with coaches and with more time for me to progress without other responsibilities, I strongly believe that I will be able to thrive.
