Kian Bystol-Flores '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Kian. I have been golfing for a little over 2 years. One day after school, my friends took me to the course in town and that same day my love for the game was born. I fell in love with the difficulty of the game, the grind, the long hot range sessions. I quickly committed to the game and with lots of help from my parents, I improved quickly. I placed 13th at state (division 3) my first year of competitive golf and was disappointed. I used that as motivation for each and every practice session in the upcoming summer and winter. My second year of competitive golf I finished conference player of the year, shooting a -3 69 at the conference championship and setting a school record, won regionals (-4 66), won sectionals (+3 75), and went on to win state as well (+5 77, +4 76).

_{Some of my current summer tournament highlights are a 1st place finish at Lake Ripley CC (-3 67 | 6,200yds), a t4 finish at Blackwolf Run (even par 72 | 6,750) and a win at the 2023 college showcase (round one -5 67, round two +3 75) (Whistling Straights, Irish, 6,750yds) to win by 7 strokes.} 

My love for the game is key to my work ethic. I am a very coachable person/player and I love building relationships with my teammates. I aspire to be a successful college golfer and use the skill God has given me to be a role model. I love using my knowledge of the golf swing to help my teammates when they need it. I look forward to the journey ahead.
