Colton Nikiforuk '17 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to be part of a high level collegiate program that competes to win every night and where I can focus on my development while obtaining a top notch education. To get an education and play at the highest level I can is a dream I one day plan on achieving.

I am a great teammate, great friend and a great son. I pride myself on being a leader in all situations and do my very best at everything I'm involved in. I like to think I'm loyal and dependable and can be counted on at all times. I'm a good student who needs to work a little harder than everyone else to get good grades but I get the job done.

I am a natural power forward who can be depended on in any situation. I have an extremely high face off win % when called upon, support and play both ends of the ice, be the big man in front of the net, quarterback the power play off the half boards and play a shutdown role on the penalty kill. I can play any role given to me whether it's contributing to the offence or in a defensive role. I have a great work ethic leaving everything on the ice whether it's a practice or a game. I am a player that gets tapped to be a team leader every year and I like to think of myself as a good example of what others should model themselves after.
