Noah Raimi '21 Recruiting Profile

I am looking for a school where I can play hockey and pursue a high level of academics. Let me tell you a little about myself on and off the ice:

• Academics: Throughout high school, I have taken the most rigorous schedule possible while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have been able to balance a rigorous academic schedule and a 1-hour commute to hockey practice 2-3 days a week.
• Leadership: I have served as the captain or assistant captain for multiple seasons throughout my hockey career, and I have earned universal respect from my teammates. I was also a coxswain on my school’s crew team for my freshman and sophomore years of high school, a position that requires leadership and trust from both players and coaches.
• IQ: Perhaps my greatest attribute is my hockey IQ. While I am small in stature and I am not the fastest or most skilled player on the ice, I make up for it with my hockey IQ. I understand the game and translate this to my play on the ice. I’m constantly aware of everyone’s position on the ice, I’m rarely out of position and do my best to anticipate where the puck is going.
• Grit and Heart: I play with heart and never give up in the game. I always give it 100% and I’m not afraid to go to the dirty areas to make plays.
• 2-way player: I am one of the hustle leaders on the team. I play a 2-way game – leading the play in the offensive zone and then backchecking when the other team begins their attack.
• Scoring: This season I am in the top five in points in the league and the leader in points on my team. I score goals all ways – breakaways, tips in front of the net, and wrist shots from the top of the circle, powerplay, shorthanded and 5 on 5. I also have many assists and really thrive on setting my teammates up for goals.
• Faceoffs. While my team does not keep stats, I play center and win most of the faceoffs I take. This has helped my team score many goals in key situations such as powerplays.
