John Markert '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Markert. I am a goaltender and I play for the New Jersey Rockets. Last season I played with the Jersey Shore Whalers U18 AAA team in the USPHL. I am a big goalie and I try to remain technical to the best of my ability. My compete is my strongest characteristic. I hate to lose and I take winning seriously. My job is to compete and give my team a chance to win games, which I set out to do as proficiently as I can night in and night out. I train with 2 goalie coaches, Jim Margitich and George Bosak of the New Jersey Hitmen. I put my effort into hockey day in and day out trying to perfect my craft. I am hoping to major in either biology or psychology in college. I hope to go into a medical field after I earn my Bachelors degree.
