My career goal is to become a Fish and Game Warden. The past two summers I have been working full time at Point Reyes National Seashore with the Youth Conservation Corps reconditioning trails and learning about the wildlife, native plants, and watersheds of the seashore. Currently, I am enrolled in a Wildlife class at school which houses a museum of animals (live and taxidermy) for educational tours. I am conducting tours for school-aged children in my town. As a young child, I played several other sports (baseball, basketball, and soccer). I was asked to be on the all league baseball team for the final two years that I played. Ice hockey became my number one sport at the age of 8, and I wanted to concentrate all my efforts on a sport I absolutely love playing. My team won the state championship when I was a Bantam. I have a deep sense of dedication to my team, practices, game performance, and constantly perfecting my skills. There have been opportunities to challenge myself with skills clinics, tournament teams, pre-select tryouts, mentoring at hockey camps for younger players, and enrolling in AP classes at my high school. On the ice I am a team player who is always looking for the best play, pass, or body position. I am very coachable, and believe in perfecting my mental game as much as my physicality in a game.
