Finalist candidac...Personal Statement
I began playing 18UAAA hockey when I was fourteen years old, after being awarded a character and academic based Summit Scholarship to attend Fountain Valley Prep School of Colorado (see linked FVS candidacy video). Being the youngest player on the FVS Danes varsity hockey team and maintaining a high GPA has taught me the value of a positive demeanor, resiliency when facing challenges, and adaptability.
I have been a forward since embracing hockey at four years old. At the end of last season, I made the decision to try defense and am excited to bring my offensive background into my new role as a defenseman for the 2020-21 season.
Ultimately, my future goals are to play hockey at the Junior level and then play hockey for a reputable college while pursuing a degree in the medical field.
