Tanner Wild '23 Recruiting Profile

I first stepped on the ice at age 5. From that very first ice touch, I knew I was at home, and my place was between the pipes. From that very first moment on the ice I have aspired to play at the next highest level each season.  I have a strong hockey IQ,  excellent hand-eye coordination which has enabled me to develop a very strong, and quick glove hand. I have been playing at the AAA level, since 10 years of age, because of this I understand the commitment, dedication, passion and hard work that goes with that level. Being a goaltender can be a very mentally exhausting game, I have learned various techniques and ways of staying focused and always move forward. 

Off the ice, I study hard to achieve my academic goals, and always maintain a high GPA, currently I hold a 4.0.  That being said, I am very coachable, turning any criticism into a positive, hardworking and dedicated to my team and schoolwork. I not only work hard on the ice, but off the ice I take part in yoga to help reset my mind and to find balance. 

In the end, I would like to play for a college where I am pushed on the ice, and in the classroom. Ultimately, I want to play where I have the best opportunity to develop my skills, and help me become the best version of myself.
