I have been playing hockey all my life and would love to play in college. This sport has helped me understand the importance of being part of a team where each player has a role to play and like a chain we are only as strong as our weakest link. I especially like the challenge of having to succeed at a higher level each year. This motivates me to be the best player I can be and to make sure I do whatever it takes to make a team succeed and make me a better player
My goal is to graduate from college with a degree in business administration. I aspire to do this as a college hockey player and am committed to making the sacrifices necessary for this to become a reality. I am committed to the sport and plan to play the game as long as possible and pass on what I have learned by coaching. Hockey is more than just a game to me it is my passion and I am willing to work hard to get to the next level.
I plan to play Juniors for the next few seasons and will delay entering college right after my high school graduation so I can get more experience. I believe that this sacrifice is necessary for me to be a productive player in college. I have had a lot of success in hockey by being a grinder. I am rarely outworked and my goal has always been to make my team better by doing the stuff that no one else is willing to do. I love the little battles for the puck that many people do not notice but are usually what decides the gamew. my game is to forecheck, backcheck and throw my body around but I also like to find the open guy and bury the puck when the opportunity is there. I like everything about hockey including practice, dry land strength training and conditioning.
I have been a captain on most of my teams and this has taught me a lot about leadership, sacrifice and how to bring teams together. I understand the game and what it takes for a team to be successful and I am willing to take on whatever role to make that happen.
