I am Paul Stearns, an ‘07 rising Junior who is a right-shot Defenseman. I qualified for the New York State regionals in spring 2024. I will play in the 2024-25 Mid Fairfield 18U Midget Showcase team. I played as a top 4 and pk Defenseman for the 2022-23 MidFairfield AAA Elite team which went into Nationals ranked #7 (the top 2 Defensemen are Juniors committed to UMich and Yale), and for 2023-24 I played part-time with the 2023 MidFairfield AAA ’07 split season team while I practiced with my new prep school team. I’m 5’11” and 175 lbs, and shoot right while generally left-handed. Prior to MidFairfield, I worked my way up from the New York Saints (2020-21), where I won best Defenseman in the post-season tournament, and from the Connecticut Jr. Rangers (2021-22). I played Varsity high school hockey as an 8th grader. I am a hockey recruit and starter at Choate. My current and former coaches would all recommend me: Ryan Haggerty (MidFairfield), Keith McCullough (CJR), and Paul Giblin (NY Saints). My unweighted GPA is 3.74 and my weighted GPA is 4.54 (taking 4 Honors classes) and I am Deans' List. My goal is to play top hockey at a school with a great academic and athletic record.
