Hello, my name is Danny Bdzoch, I attend Fenton Highschool, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Growing up my role model has always been my Dad. At just three years old, he put me on my first pair of skates, and we went through this journey together from the start. He has always been my role model, teaching me important stuff about hockey and life. He has been there to guide me through the rough, and cheer me on when I'm winning. From the time I set foot onto the ice for the first time, up until now, I have always been obsessed with bettering myself everyday as an athlete and a person. Hockey is a lifestyle and it has shaped me to become the person that I am. I am very thankful I was introduced to the sport as it has taught me many life lessons, like teambuilding and being respectful. Hockey has also taken me around the country and the world, seeing sights I would have otherwise never have seen, making me a more wise and complete person. I have met great coaches, made amazing friends, and played on some amazing teams throughout my childhood.
My academics have always come first throughout my hockey career. Getting a good college education is my ultimate goal in life and being able to play D1 hockey alongside that would be an unreal experience. My desired major currently is something in the field of business, finance, or marketing and I'm looking to pursue those interests in college, while playing a high level of hockey.
About three years ago I broke my ankle in a game, and although I viewed it as a major setback at the time, I used it as a learning experience for overcoming adversity. Ever since then, it has been my goal to work 3 times harder than the guy next to me. And that's just part of who I am because I am an extremely competitive individual who will not take no for an answer. Whether it's a game of cards or ping pong, I will put my life on the line to win. I’ve been fortunate to be a part of many championship teams including 2 state championships, many huge tournament wins, and one trip to nationals.
I want to thank you once again for taking the time to get to know me, and I look forward to taking the next step in my hockey and academic career!
