June 2024 After graduating with honors from Rock Valley College in May 2024 and earning my associate's degree in science, I will be playing a year of junior hockey. I plan on playing closer to home as I will stay on at Rock Valley College as a tutor for the math and science departments, as well as my job as a hockey program coach with the Rockford Park District. After juniors I plan on going to university to play college hockey and obtain a master's degree in science with a focus on biochemistry or something similar. These opportunities will allow me to continue pursuing my passion for hockey while furthering my education and career goals. I am currently playing in the SCHL summer games, playing some 3 v 3 and weekly skill skates with an instructor.
Fall 2022 Update: This season I will be playing for my hometown team, the Rockford Roadrunners AA in the NIHL league at the Premier Select level, coached by Scott Burfoot. Team page and calendar: 18U (rockfordhockeyclub.com) Here is the team YouTube channel link: RHC 18U - YouTube I am also enrolled as a full-time, (in person learning) student at my community college and have a 3.8 GPA this semester. This season I have committed to a roster spot for the 2021/2022 18U AAA Madison Capitols playing in the NAPHL. I am enjoying playing with my new team while having the ability to stay home with my own family this season. I am also currently enrolled as a part time/dually enrolled high school student at my community college.
March 2021 UPDATE: I am registered to attend the following events: ChiTown Shuffle on April 16-18th. USPHL/NCDC Combine at Fifth Third Arena on May 14-16th. JOG Athletics/ACHA College Prospects at Fifth Third Arena on May 21-23rd. Global Chicago at Darien Sportsplex on June 4-6th. Austin Bruins/NAHL Pre Draft Showcase in Minnesota on July 2-4th. I also play to play with my travel baseball team when I am available.
2020-2021 UPDATE: This season I am playing for the Indy Jr Fuel AAA 16U. I was out with covid-19 for eight weeks of the season, have made a full recovery and I am making the most out of my time on the ice. In addition to my ABeka Academy homeschool classes I am a dually enrolled student at Rock Valley College.
I laced up my skates at 2 years old, was on a team at 4 and began travel hockey at 6 years old. Being homeschooled has allowed me the opportunity to create my own flexible schedule, allowing time for me to focus on academics (currently in 12th grade Abeka Academy and taking classes at my local community college) and my sports/fitness. I can hit the ice daily to work on developing my hockey skills, skating and have some fun on the ice with my friends. I have time to meet with my trainer, workout, have lessons with my hockey and skating coach or just practice and play at home or outside. I also enjoy playing travel baseball, caring for my pets, spending time outdoors or playing video games.
I have a strong respect and passion for hockey, the cutting of skates on the ice and the clapping sound the puck makes are something that will make any hockey player feel at home. I have been the captain and alternate in the past, have won 3 league championships and feel the thrill of the game every time I go out there. I am a consistent puck moving and shooting, two way defenseman and have a lot of experience running the power play. I can read the game well and have good vision, stick and puck skills. My first pass is very good. My physical and mental attributes include strong defense, leadership, coachability, hockey sense and understanding of the game, physical strength, ability to put the puck or myself in the right place at the right time and being a great teammate.
MARCH 2020 UPDATE: This spring I will be playing AAA hockey locally as well as attending some combines, showcases and development camps. You can find me at the NAHL 16U combine at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville IL, March 27-29. ACHA College Prospects at Fifth Third Arena in Chicago IL, April 10-12. NJPHL Elite Player Showcase at Notre Dame IN, April 16-19. USPHL Combine at Fifth Third Arena in Chicago IL, May 1-3. Global Hockey Chicago at Darien Sportsplex in Darien IL, May 29-31. I will also be attending spring/summer development hockey camps locally and playing travel baseball. If you are attending an event that I am, please stop and say hello, I'd love to introduce myself!
