Charles Doherty '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Charles Doherty and I am currently the starting varsity goalie for the St. Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack. I am in the class of 2019 and am 5'9", 150lbs. At Ignatius, I became the varsity goaltender sophomore year and have worked diligently to make sure that the team is as good as it can be. In the last two years Ignatius has risen to the top of the CCHL and I became one of the team's first All-State players.

In college I am looking at academically rigorous schools. I aspire to play the highest level of hockey I can while still attaining a good education. I am adaptable and am willing to look into a wide range of schools; East or West, small or large, I am mostly searching for hockey and a good engineering program.

I would describe myself as quiet but driven. I have a work ethic that always keeps me trying my hardest for every workout and every practice. I never had a problem with motivating myself to be the best goaltender that I can possibly be. With this in mind I am willing to work on all aspects of my game with coaches. With a positive attitude and a level mind, I won't pick fights with refs or put others down. My relationship with team members means a lot to me and I hope to always keep their spirits up. I like to think that I picked up a tradition for excellence from my time at Ignatius and an even greater passion for the game from my entire life. You won't find another who will be as committed or as ready to take up any challenge.
