My entire life, I have put school as my number one priority with hockey at a close second. While I do let hockey come before school in certain situations, I make sure I never fail in putting in my best effort for school in order to keep pushing myself so that, in turn, I can better myself. I recognize areas in which I struggle and I work my hardest to improve those areas to the best of my ability. This applies to school, hockey, and how I am as a person. I pride myself in my work ethic and ability to overcome challenges, using my own skills and the help provided to me from my friends and family. Additionally, I use my own drive to help my peers push themselves so we can all improve. I have put this in action by being a captain and assistant caption on two past teams. I bring a leadership presence that inspires others, while allowing them to inspire me as well. Playing college hockey would be an opportunity I would very much like to take advantage of, allowing me to play the game I love that has shaped me to be who I am today while getting the education that will help me lead a productive and enjoyable life.
