Hello, my name is AJ Schoenfielder and I am a student athlete from Oswego High School. My goals are to continue to play hockey at the most competitive level that I am able to and continue to further my education along the way. I feel that my teamwork, Hockey IQ, and overall skill work would allow me to thrive as a part of a collegiate team. I feel that my positive character would help me stand out among other student athletes. I am a strong believer in having a growth mindset and always moving forward no matter what obstacles may stand in my way. I also push myself to, not be the most talented, but the hardest working person in any capacity (whether it be sports or school) because I know that talent can only get you so far. I have ended my past two years of high school on the high honor roll with a 4.1 GPA and I hope to continue to have that kind of success, academically, in the future. I have also been enrolled in numerous honors courses. In the future I plan to study within the engineering field but have not decided which type of engineering in specific. I began playing club hockey for the Naperville Sabres from age 10 until my freshmen year of high school. I played on my high school team (Oswego Hockey Club) at the Junior Varsity level as a freshman and excelled at the Junior Varsity level, appearing on both the All Star and All Conference teams. During my Sophomore season I continued to play for Oswego Hockey Club, but at the Varsity level. I train six days a week on synthetic ice tiles at home and on-ice time averages three times a week throughout the year. Thank you for taking the time to browse my profile.
