Ryan Slingsby '24 Recruiting Profile

I am an extremely hard worker at practice and off the ice. I arrive at the rink one hour before practice so I can work on my skills or watch tape of games.  I push myself and compete hard at practice. On my off ice days, I lift weights everyday, often times lifting before and after school. I am the son of a teacher and pharmacist and have  learned from them the value of working hard to achieve your goals.  In the summer, I work at a local golf course mowing grass and fixing the course.  I start my work days at 5:30 am and work until the job for that day is finished. I love hockey and would like to compete at the next level while getting my college degree. As a player, I am very coach-able.  As an individual, I am very dependable, honest and make good moral decisions off the ice.
