I have been playing hockey for 11 years. I love playing and would love to continue playing through college. Right now, I am on my club U16 CSDHL team. I was the captain of my club U15 team last year. I am willing to put the work in to become a college athlete. I really started training hard this summer by lifting weights on my own and joining a local Crossfit gym to stay in shape and build muscle.
I would be an excellent candidate for college hockey due to my passing ability and my hockey sense. My coaches also tell me I am very coachable and I comprehend drills and systems very well. I can move the puck up the ice as an offensive defenseman and also know how to play defensively in my zone. I pride myself on my passing and always making the best decision with the puck on my stick.
I can set myself apart from other players with my commitment and work ethic on and off the ice. Academically, I get good grades and behave well in the classroom. On the ice, I compete with my full ability and take no shifts off.
