The highlight of my hockey career was when I went undefeated with a very skilled group of guys. The next year, my team did not make the playoffs, because we registered as a higher team. I'd say that year really taught me the most as a hockey player. It taught me how to be more of a team player, and realize that the name on the front of my jersey is far more important than the one on the back. it taught me what leadership really means, and how to stand up for every single guy in the locker room. It forced me to focus on what I need to do as an individual in order to get better, such as work-ethic and commitment towards the team. I believe that I have what it takes to compete in the college level and, at the same time, maintain my above average gpa in the classroom. I believe that I have a strong work-ethic, and that I am easily coachable, as I know that I always come ready to listen and learn, whether it be to practice or a game, so that I can improve not only as an individual, but as a team player as well.
