Amanda Liu '20 Recruiting Profile

    I am a hardworking swimmer and student with a positive attitude and a love for competing. I have been an athlete for almost my entire life. I did gymnastics at a very young age, and worked my way up to being a Level 4 gymnast by the age of 4. Gymnastics built a strong athletic foundation for me, and when I was 5 years old I began swimming competitively.

    Throughout the years, I have worked hard to improve my times. I attend every practice I can and push myself to achieve my goals. I am always looking for ways to improve my stroke technique, and I am very responsive to my coaches' corrections. My hard work shows during meets, as I have been consistently dropping time in all my events. I not only love racing and achieving best times, but I also love encouraging and cheering on my teammates. 

   Along with swimming in a National-level training group, I attend a magnet program for high school and have had a rigorous course load. Balancing my swim life and demanding school work during high school has prepared me to do so successfully in college. I hope to attend a college that will allow me to continue growing as both a swimmer and a student.
