My hockey career began in a town youth program that my older brother and sister also skated in. Unlike skating for a select team where all the player's abilities are similar, I skated with kids of all skill levels. I had to differentiate myself to play for the best team in my age group. As I progressed I realized I needed more of a challenge so I joined a club team where I tried out and was able to skate for the 04s which allowed me to check a year early. I was aware that public high school hockey was not the best path to continuing to play hockey after high school however I knew I wanted to play with my older brother and I wasn't sure if hockey after HS was a reality. I made the high school varsity as a freshman and played with my brother who was a senior. This year I was lucky enough to play with another sibling as my younger brother came up as a freshman. This to me was special. I am fortunate to be selected as a Captain in both my Junior and Senior years in Hockey and as a Senior in both Lacrosse and Cross Country. I have never been a year-round hockey player however now that I see the opportunities that hockey can provide I am dedicated to taking my game to the next level. I feel with my level of commitment my upside is difficult to match.
