Hello my name is Ryan Pomposelli and my goal is to play Division 1 hockey. I have a younger brother and sister and they both look up to me when it comes to athletics. They don't realize it but, I look up to them. They are both severely dyslexic and struggle everyday just to read.
I am a good candidate for your team because of my leadership on and off the ice. I understand that being a good leader does not necessarily mean being the leading goal scorer. When the going gets tough for a team a leader steps up and works even harder to stop the losing and turn it around. I work hard every single day to make myself and my teammates better.
What separates me from other recruits is my work ethic and how is shows not only on the ice but also in the classroom. I might not have all As or be the fastest skater but I out work every one and believe that the hard work in the classroom, the gym and the rink will pay off. My father has always told me that bigger kids need to work twice as hard to stay in shape and that has always stuck with me. It has motivated me to be a better student and hockey player.
Thank you for your consideration.
Ryan Pomposelli
