I have been playing hockey for the past 11 years. Hockey is my passion and it has helped me become a more disciplined student-athlete, resilient and an effective communicator. Outside of hockey and school, I spend my time with friends, family and supporting my community. I play other sports in the off-season, including tennis, soccer and basketball.
I have worked with exceptional hockey and conditioning coaches in recent years who supported my development into a strong and agile defensive player, with clean edges, fast stickhandling skills and an advanced hockey sense. I excel at both ends of the ice, calm under pressure and creative in moving the puck out of my zone. I spend my spring and part of the summer seasons playing tournaments and showcases across North America to improve my hockey skills in preparation for my club team's tryouts. This will help me continue playing hockey at highly competitive levels throughout high school, college and hopefully beyond.
I am committed to academic excellence and I have demonstrated over the years my ability to effectively balance my academics and athletics. I aspire to continue to develop my elite hockey skills while maintaining strong academic grades. My goal is playing competitive collegiate hockey at an elite college, where I am interested in pursuing a STEM degree.
