Growing up as a younger child, I've always had someone who is bigger, stronger, and smarter than me. However, this has fueled my competitiveness and caused me to always want to be the best. I grew up playing hockey as soon as I could walk and have always had a deep love for the game. I define my success as a player by my team's success. I am not the flashy, loud player. My coaches depend on me to close out games, whether it's to protect our lead or help get a goal. I lead by example and always give 110% on both sides of the ice, whether it's a practice or a game. I love to get better and am very open to whatever my coaches say or want me to do. In my family, academics have always come first. I hold myself to the same standards in doing the best I can in my studies. I care a lot about the image I set for my club and school. I was taught growing up to always be polite, helpful, and respectful. I am very loyal to my friends and family. I've set a high bar for myself, and I have all the intentions of achieving it.
