My love for hockey all comes from my Grandfather. I was seven around the time he was watching the Pens and ever since, they've been my favorite team. I've had a rough start in life; mostly because of my mother. She left me and my dad when I was three which never really fazed me until I was older. I replaced that emptiness with hockey and determination. It has made me work much harder ever since. Playing hockey has shown me I’m strong enough physically and even stronger mentally than I thought I was and I am better than I thought I could be. I wanted to get stronger and be better than the rest; however, I know there is always someone better, so it keeps me always trying to improve.
My academic goals have always been to make it to college and learn all I can so I can be what I want to be. One thing that's always been in the back of my mind ever since I can remember was wanting to be like my family and serve in the armed forces. I've always had to face difficult challenges in life with the main one being my size; just like Jake Guenztal who is my favorite player. That is why I wear the number 59. But, don't be fooled,I'm stronger and tougher than you might think.
