I am Jacob Pajewski; I was born on November, 16, 1998. I have been playing hockey since I was 7 years old. I played my first 2 years as a forward and defenseman but later on switched to goalie.I am a dedicated player that is always trying to better myself and prove to others that I'm not just any goalie.I am eager to learn from my coaches and fellow teammates.
I am a friendly person and a hard worker. Unlike most goalies I know, I love to skate, and try to build up my speed, while also increasing my endurance. I have played on teams consisting of levels B, A, and AA. I strive to become a better goalie all the time, and increase my skills to the level I want to play. On and off the ice I try to act as a leader and be someone that people look up to and respect, which my late coach and friend Josh Esformes taught me. He also taught me to enjoy the game no matter the outcome, and to respect not only the players on my team but also on the opposing team.
In school I work hard, and I like to challenge myself. I do all work that is assigned and love to do any extra credit work given. I am a good test taker and also do very well on projects. My favorite subjects are History, English, Science, and Art. I hope to participate in more challenging classes and am determined to enhance my knowledge.
I have recently become involved with special needs hockey at the local community center. Here I volunteer my time to assist the coaches with their team. My job is to assist the players in learning the game and their position. I find this experience to be enjoyable as it gives me a sense of responsibility and allows me to help teach the sport that I love to others.
