I am an African American girl who enjoys playing golf for fun and competitive. I have been playing golf since I was 6 with the First Tee Brooklyn which is now Aviator Golf Center, At first I was young so I did not take it seriously but now this is something I really care about deeply and want to play for college. Something that people used to tell me was " We do not see many black people playing golf" hearing that made me want to change the stereotype and do better for myself. Now because of that comment golf has became a part of and a part of who I am and I am so glad my parents and myself pushed me to become a golfer.
